Aright. Tosen's dead and I'm not sad. Why? Cause out of the 3 bad guys, he's the one with the least going for him.

Aizen has his looks (very hot) and he's deceptive personality is quite charming. Also when he did get caught, it was the soul society's fault in believing in him so his betrayal only came as a surprise because the people in the soul society were stupid. They didn't even ask details from Mr. Hat n Clogs, Tessai and the visords

Gin is loyal and honestly, an absolute sweetheart (you'll find out later). He always looks like he's up to something suspicious so even the betrayal wouldn't have been as much of a surprise. (Also I may or may not have a thing for white haired anime characters with blue eyes).

Lastly Kaname. He betrayed a very close friend and when he gained the power of sight, he called komamura ugly. He also casually attacked his own squad members 100 years ago when everyone trusted him. (At least Shinji knew aizen was sus and aizen didn't even try to hide it.) He says everything is for justice but his actions counteract that. I mean, when grimmjow attack karakura, bringing him back makes sense but getting rid of his arm... how's that justice? If anything Grimmjow was aiding in Tosen's justice by getting rid of Ichigo early. How is it justice to make one of the most shunned guys in the soul society his best friend only to betray him... Sorry kaname but what you do don't make sense and you won't be missed

True. Aizen was cunning, smart and charming and Gin always had mystery going for him. Even when he was with Aizen, I never thought he trusted Aizen. They both didn't trust each other. I just didn't know he was actually good. I always thought he was plotting something evil. It was great. I love characters I can't grasp what they're thinking. That's hard to do. Then there's Tousen with his contradictory actions. It can work somewhat for a protagonist (Shirou Emiya) but not an antagonist.

the rason for aizen betraying tosen in this episode becomes clear once we read bleach light novel cant fear for your own world where aizen reveals tosen asked aizen to kill him if he ever got sympathetic towards soul society and regret his decision. he even said if aizen wins, tousen would commit seppukku thinking himself unworthy of living in aizen's perfect world. in the same light novel we learn more about tosen, his friend kakyo as well as her murderer tokinada who is the main villain of the light novel.
